28 Jan 2008It was reported on Forbes website that the China Development Bank was interested in the United Bank for Africa (UBA). The story stated that they were willing to invest as much as $5billion. That would have been a significant development. But a few hours later, it was reported that it was a rumor.
I wonder what the truth is. If they are really interested in the bank, it will be a remarkable thing. Especially when you consider that they invested just as much in companies like Blackrock and Citigroup. It shows that the Nigerian economy is now gaining in reputation.
